MORE ROOM FOR A BIOLOGICAL BED: The Cascade Optimizer Pre-Filter comes with 2 Bio-Sponges: 1 Coarse and 1 Fine. These sponges optimize the colonization of anaerobic bacteria. Since the Pre-Filter connects to your existing canister filter, the increased surface area creates a larger biological bed.
UNIQUE FEATURES: The Cascade Optimizer Pre-Filter is non-motorized; it’s powered by a regular canister filter. Although it has a flow control handle for additional customization, it’ll maintain the flow rate of the canister filter it’s connected to. The two 360° independent valve taps rotate fully, accept 16/22 mm tubing, and their base features a quick release function.
