- Balanced protein and calcium to support growth, immunity, egg production and strong shells
Whether they’re roaming free or are sheltered in a chicken coop, flocks need protein and calcium supplements. These minerals are crucial in supporting growth, immunity, egg production and having a strong outer shell. Protein makes the meshwork of the eggshell and cells then deposit calcium phosphate onto this meshwork. That’s why we formulated Sea Protein Mix using Gammarus shrimp and freshwater baby shrimp for that much-needed boost that is a perfect combination of both. Plus, the birds love it! Our Sea Protein Mix contains carotene to give yolks a brighter color. Carotene gives fruits and vegetables their bright yellow or orange hue. The right protein levels are beneficial in feather production for your birds. This is especially important in growing your chicks, young pullets and molting birds. High protein diets can cause damage to your birds, so treats and supplementation is the way to go. Your birds know when they need it and will consume it as needed. Shrimp are also high B12, iron, Omega-3, and selenium, yet low in calories. The addition of iron produces hemoglobin that helps carry oxygen from their lungs to all parts of the body. The bonus of Omega 3 has been proven to increase egg production, improve color and adds nutrients. What a winning combination! Easy to use so you can “Calcify your flock”: Make Healthy Hen Sea Protein part of your regular routine. Feed 1-2 tablespoons per bird daily either through mixing into their regular chicken feed or offering as a tasting treat. A perfect addition to your chicken coop accessories.
