When Do You Need to Remove Fish from the Tank?
Below are some situations when you have to take out the fish from the aquarium: Your fish gets ill or injured and may need to be in a quarantine tank for recovery or treatment. You need to remove either an aggressive or bullied fish and place it in a different tank. If you decide to have a Neon Tetra Tank, please keep in mind that although they are community tank fish, they need to be with other small species that are not aggressive. You need to put it out for sale. How Will You Take the Fish Out?
Here are some guidelines which can help you successfully catch your fish from the aquarium:
Check if you need to remove some aquarium decorations first. You can start with the large ornaments. Later on, you can maneuver the net smoothly to catch your fish.
Once you have placed your net into the aquarium, ensure slow net movement so you do not startle your tetras. A quick motion may also put the fish away from the net opening so it should be avoided.
The container where you will transfer the fish should also be easily accessible whether it is another aquarium, bucket, or bag. It should also be filled with aquarium water.
